Stan Knight is the founder and driving force behind Zachary Knight Enterprises, an Indigenous-owned company committed to transforming housing, infrastructure, and economic opportunity in Indigenous communities across Canada.

A proud member of the Opaskwayak Cree Nation, Stan’s work is grounded in lived experience and a lifelong commitment to improving the quality of life for Indigenous Peoples. 

With over 30 years of experience, Stan brings deep expertise in housing development, project management, energy retrofits, and community capacity building. 

He has led major projects across British Columbia, Alberta, and Manitoba, working with Tribal Councils, Nations, and government partners to implement sustainable, community-driven solutions.

Stan’s background includes a long career in public service as an RCMP Detachment Commander, where he collaborated with Chiefs and Councils to support safety and crisis response in First Nations communities. His diverse leadership roles have ranged from housing technician and project manager to business owner and national advisor in Indigenous clean energy.

Today, through his work with Zachary Knight Enterprises and the “Inspector in a Box” program, his approach blends technical skill with cultural understanding, always centering relationships, education, and lasting impact.
